November is National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness month.

Alzheimer's is the most common form of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Symptoms usually develop slowly and get worse over time, becoming severe enough to interfere with daily tasks.

  Veterans Day Honor Duty Sacrifice
The Emporia Senior Center invites all Veteran's to a FREE Veteran's breakfast on Thursday November 10th at 8:00 a.m at the Center - 603 E 12th. Ave. 
We will be serving biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, cinnamon rolls, orange juice and coffee. We thank you for your service and would be proud to serve you on this day. Please call 343-3160 with any questions. 

  Potluck - Bring Your Favorite Dish!
It is Pot Luck dinner day! Join us at 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m for a pot luck dinner and evening of cards and games. The Center will provide the table service as well as iced tea and water. Bring a covered dish, some family and friends and join us for a fun evening. Questions? Call 343-3160.

 
Match Day 2016
We love all of the support that our community gives us and we are asking you all to come out on Monday the 14th, between 9 a.m and 7 p.m at the Flint Hills Mall and make a donation to your Senior Center. With the 50 thousand dollar match pool, your donation will grow and help us secure some of those matching funds. If you'd like more information, please call Lannie at the Center. Let's make Match Day 2016 a huge success for the Senior Center.
